The forest department has fixed the rent for one night's stay in the tree house at Rs 2,000. This tree house is a wooden room built in a tall tree. The Forest Department had sent the Chief Conservator of Forests to Dehradun for approval of the fee for the stay here. Even after about eight months, its fee has not been fixed by the Chief Conservator of Forests. In such a situation, the government was also suffering loss of revenue. On the other hand, tourists were also getting eager to stay here. So now finally DFO Prakash Chandra Arya said that it has been decided to open the tree house for tourists from 15th December. One night's rent of the forest rest house of the forest department in the state is fixed at one thousand rupees. As of now, the Forest Department has not fixed any separate fee for the tree house. In such a situation, the forest department has fixed twice the fee of tree houses on the basis of the fee of forest rest houses of the state. After the fee of the tree house is approved by the Forest Department, its booking will be done in advance online. The department is preparing a website for this. Currently booking will be done offline.
Fato Zone/Phato Zone is the tenth tourism zone to be operated from Ramnagar. With the opening of this gate, apart from Corbett national park and Sitabani tiger reserve another jungle safari has become an option for the tourists.
